Hum, my last design did not last long… I prefer this one: cleaner, lighter, … But I kept the old one to put it in a “style browser”, and it will be available after some changes necessary to take the new code in account.
Also, I have to be sure this new one is well rendered by the “non standard respecting” IE. There is absolutely no problem under Firefox or even Safari. I use this nice tool to check compatibility with Safari. Still looking for one for IE…
I have played a little bit with CSS and the Gimp to make this brand new design. Some of you, maybe all, will find it too dark and too dirty….That’s maybe the goal… 😉
But the beauty of CSS is that I can change the design very easily, without changing anything in the html code…And what about offering the user the choice of the desing he wants to use….Great!!!! But that’s another story…
For the moment, I hope you will enjoy this one (huh…).

Wanting a non intrusive but though useful menu-start-status-pager-…-bar, I first used Xosview to display a nice CPU graph, but I still wanted some info abut network up&down links (and Memory and HD usage as a bonus)…

Conky is a very light-weight system monitor, you can consider it as a torsmo enhancement: you can do much much more with it. Beautiful graphs, various resource monitoring, mail check, …
And if you use FVWM, you can “swallow” it easily in any button, like I did. Of course, I’ve chosen for a very simple setup, giving me the information if find vital 🙂
