New TUX issue is out!!!

If you don’t know “TUX magazine” yet, it is time to download (don’t worry it’s free like in free beer) the last issue (and all previous of course!).

To be short, this mag is the little brother of Linux Journal (LJ), and points mainly at new linux users (while other may find interesting information though).

But if you are a Gnome fan, you might be a bit disappointed… For example, in this issue they explain you how to custom the KDE & Gnome Graphical Interfaces… KDE gets 3-4 pages of attention, while they only explain you how to set a custom background for Gnome (I think my 4 year old nephew can do it on the shot without any background…)

Otherwise, it is a very good online mag! Enjoy…

Snowy Morning

This morning was what we can call a “snowy morning”…

Backyards... More Backyards...

It took some time to put all that snow off my car 😉

Shell Programming

I forgot to say… I’m currently following the “Shell Programming for System Administrators” course at Sun Vilvoorde.

It’s by far the most interesting course I’ve followed there (Sys Admin I & II and Network Admin). We are learning stuff I always wanted to know (but for which I didn’t find the time yet): regular expressions, (n)awk, sed, and scripting of course.

As promised, I will publish some scripts on this site as from very soon 😉
